What we collect, and what we do not

Sizing you needs some information about you. Here is all of it, and what we refuse to do with it.

Your measurements

If you have yourself scanned, we hold the measurements it produced. They are encrypted where they sit, and three rules govern them.

  • You see your size in each cut, and how closely it matches. That is the useful part, and it is what the whole shop runs on.
  • A designer sees your measurements when you buy something made for you, for that piece, while they are making it. Once it ships, that ends.
  • Every look is recorded. Who, when, and which order. Ours included.

The photographs you took are never stored by us. Neither is the three dimensional reconstruction built from them, beyond what is needed to draw the body a tailor cuts from, and that never leaves us as a file anyone could keep.

Your bag

A small cookie remembers which bag is yours. Without it there is no bag, so we do not ask about this one. It lasts thirty days and holds nothing but a random number.

Counting pages, which is the part we ask about

If you agree, we record which pages you look at, which designer and which piece, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used. We keep the website you arrived from, but only its name, never the page you were on.

It tells us which designers are worth bringing you, and where our sizing needs improving. Tied to the same thirty day session as your bag, and goes when that goes.

Nothing here breaks if you say no. The shop is identical, your sizes are identical, and we will not ask again unless you want us to.

Your title

We ask at checkout so we can address you properly. It is optional, and “prefer not to say” is a real answer rather than a polite one.

What we never do

  • Sell anything about you to anybody.
  • Let a designer keep your measurements after your order is finished.
  • Track you across other people’s websites.
  • Ask you to accept before you can look around.

Changing your mind

You have not been asked yet, so we are not counting anything.
